FEATURE OF THE WEEK
π New Flexible Bus Service Coming to West Fife

Fife Council's Go-Flexi bus service, which currently operates in North East Fife, is expanding to parts of West Fife as part of a new trial launching on December 15th.
Go-Flexi is a demand-responsive transport service that allows passengers to book journeys in advance, with pick-ups and drop-offs at selected bus stops across the area. Instead of running on a fixed schedule, the service operates based on passenger demand, offering greater flexibility, especially for those travelling at off-peak times.
The trial will run from December 15th to March 2026 in two West Fife areas:
West Fife Villages - linking Saline, Steelend, Bogside, Blaihall, Comrie, and Oakley with High Valleyfield, Cairneyhill and Kincardine
Forthbridgehead - linking North Queensferry, Fordell, Limekilns, Charlestown, and Crombie with Cairneyhill, Ferrytoll, Europarc, Inverkeithing, and Inverkeithing Rail
The service will operate from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. If the trial proves successful, the service could be extended using additional funding streams.
Services can be booked from Monday, December 8th, via the Go-Flexi app or by phone. Bookings must be made at least one hour before travelling and can be made up to one week in advance. For more details, visit www.go-flexi.org.
