TOP STORIES AROUND THE KINGDOM
πΆ Fife City Named Among UKβs Best for Dog Owners

There are a lot of dog lovers in the UK, and Fife is no exception. Some days it feels like every other person you pass is walking a pup. So it might not come as much of a surprise that one Fife town has just been named among the most dog-friendly destinations in the UK.
The ranking comes from new research by outdoor brand Millets, which looked at the UKβs most populated towns and cities to see which were best suited for our four-legged friends. They assessed each location across several factors, including the number of dog-friendly walking trails, restaurants and pubs, local vets, and pet-friendly accommodation.
And the results? Dunfermline came in 5th overall, making it one of the top places in the UK to own a dog. The only Scottish location to rank higher was Aberdeen, which landed in third place. Dunfermline wasnβt the only Fife mention either, with Kirkcaldy also earning an honourable shoutout, ranking third in the UK specifically for its number of dog-friendly walking trails.
However, since the research only looked at the UKβs most populous towns and cities, we reckon a few top Fife spots might have been missed. Should we repeat the research just for Fife to find the Kingdomβs most dog-friendly place? Let us know below!
